Duncan Croasdale
Duncan Croasdale is Chief Commercial Officer of Heartland Generation and is responsible for the company’s commercial strategy, customer interfaces, and business development.
Duncan has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry in project development, as we well as power and natural gas trading and marketing.Most recently, Duncan was Director of Power Trading of Suncor Energy.
He was also Suncor’s carbon policy subject matter expert inside power markets and active in electricity policy advocacy. During his time at Suncor, Duncan founded The Cogenerators Working Group which addressed the proposed Alberta capacity market implementation, and he led the commercial, regulatory and policy strategy for Suncor’s 800 MW cogeneration project.
Prior to Suncor, Duncan held senior positions at Constellation Energy, Dynegy Canada, and Enron Canada.
Duncan holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer.
